It is absolutely fine to disagree with a reviewer's comments. Authors can provide either a point-by-point response to the reviewer’s comments or a rebuttal if some of the reviewer’s comments cannot be addressed. For edited books, the editor will take into consideration whether your viewpoint is justified. For monographs, we rely on multiple peer reviews and will make a decision on the manuscript based on these reports. We may ask our Advisory Board for help for particularly difficult cases.
