Carl L. Anderson earned a B.S. in Information and Communication Technologies (2017) and an M.S. in Information and Communication Management (2019) from the University of Wisconsin–Stout and is currently a Doctoral Candidate in Information Technology (Cybersecurity) at Capella University, where he is completing his dissertation, Managers' Perception of Self-Efficacy in Implication and Adherence to Cyber Security Policies: A Qualitative Study. He is a Senior Information Assurance Analyst serving a multi-hospital healthcare system, where he leads security operations, threat hunting, and incident response, while architecting enterprise Microsoft Defender and Microsoft Purview deployments. His work in healthcare cybersecurity and security automation spans SOC 2 Type 2 audits, HIPAA and HICP compliance programs, identity and access management, and PowerShell- and Azure Logic Apps-based automation pipelines for vulnerability management. He was a member of Business Professionals of America, through which he placed second nationally in web design and programming. His research interests include automated CVE ingestion, risk-based vulnerability prioritization, AI-accelerated exploit disclosure, governed human–AI collaboration in security operations, and managerial self-efficacy and human factors in cybersecurity policy adherence.
