Dr. Samah Hashim is an Assistant Professor at the University of Business and Technology, Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, where she teaches courses in electrical engineering, power electronics, solar energy, and smart grids. She received her B.Sc. in Electrical and Electronics Engineering (2005), M.Sc. in Telecommunication and Information Technology (2012), and Ph.D. in Solar Energy Efficiency (2016), all from the University of Khartoum, Sudan. Prior to her current position, she served as a faculty member at the University of Khartoum from 2009 to 2024, including as Head of the Department. She is a certified Renewable Energy Expert from the Renewable Energy Institute, Edinburgh. Her research focuses on solar energy performance modeling and PV system efficiency under desert climate conditions, and she has authored several peer-reviewed publications in this field.

Prof. Mohammed Hashim Siddig is a Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Khartoum, Sudan. He received his B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Khartoum in 1976, and his M.Sc. and Ph.D. in Thermo-fluids from the University of Strathclyde, U.K., in 1977 and 1980, respectively. He has held academic positions at the University of Khartoum since 1980, rising through the ranks of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, and Professor, and served as Senior Lecturer at the University of Zimbabwe from 1996 to 1999. From 2014 to 2020, he served as Director of the Energy Research Centre at the University of Khartoum. His research spans fluid mechanics, wind energy, hydropower, and solar photovoltaic systems, and he has authored numerous publications and led several major consultancy projects in the energy sector.
