Michail Sofopoulos, MD, PhD, is a pathologist specializing in surgical (anatomic) pathology with a focus on dermatopathology. He earned his medical degree from the University of Modena, Italy, and completed his residency in pathology at "Saint Savvas" Anticancer Hospital, Athens. He holds a master's degree in human neoplastic disease and a PhD from the Medical School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, with doctoral research on tumor microenvironment elements as prognostic markers in breast cancer. He currently serves as Consultant Pathologist (Grade A) at the "Andreas Syngros" Hospital of Cutaneous and Venereal Diseases in Athens.
