Author Biographies

Fatih Battal is currently an Associate Professor in the Department of Pediatrics at Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University, Faculty of Medicine (https://orcid.org/0000-0001-9040-7880). Having commenced his medical education in 1999, Dr. Battal focused his academic and clinical pursuits on child health following the completion of his residency. Throughout his academic career, he has gained extensive experience in pediatric clinical care and child health, playing an active role in supervising numerous medical theses and the training of residents. His primary research and clinical interests include pediatric intensive care, the management of critically ill pediatric patients, the immunometabolic effects of botanical extracts in developmental models, and the integration of digital health technologies in pediatric clinical screenings. Dr. Battal is a member of the Turkish Pediatric Association, the Turkish Pediatric Emergency and  Intensive Care Society, and the Academic General Pediatrics Society. He continues to contribute to international scientific literature through his ongoing roles as an editor and peer reviewer.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Serhat Kaya graduated from Ege University, Department of Biology. He completed his graduate studies at Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University, earning his PhD in 2015, and was promoted to the rank of Associate Professor in 2026 (https://orcid.org/0000-0002-0984-2824).Currently serving as a faculty member at Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University, Dr. Kaya specializes in insect physiology and immunology. His primary research focus lies in the humoral and cell-mediated immune responses of the invertebrate model organism Galleria mellonella. His academic investigations specifically explore the impact of various substances—ranging from botanical extracts and pharmaceutical compounds to nanoparticles and microplastics—on innate immunity.In addition to his published contributions to the field of insect physiology, Dr. Kaya actively serves as a peer reviewer for numerous prestigious international journals indexed in the Web of Science (WoS), contributing to the rigorous academic evaluation of global research.
Hasan Ali KİRAZ, MD, Associate Professor in the Department of Anesthesiology and Reanimation at Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University Faculty of Medicine, Türkiye, earned a medical degree from Manisa Celal Bayar University Faculty of Medicine in 2003 and completed a residency training in Anesthesiology and Reanimation at Gazi University Faculty of Medicine in 2008 (https://orcid.org/0000-0002-8548-124X). Over the course of his career, he has served in military, public, and academic healthcare institutions, including Diyarbakır Military Hospital, Kayseri Training and Research Hospital, and Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University, where he has also assumed educational, administrative, and leadership roles. His academic and clinical work has focused on anesthesiology, intensive care, resuscitation, perioperative patient management, airway management, pain management, and experimental research. His current research interests particularly include cardiopulmonary resuscitation quality, monitoring technologies, and perioperative and critical care practice. He is a member of the Turkish Society of Anesthesiology and Reanimation, the Turkish Intensive Care Society, and the Resuscitation Society, and became an Associate Professor in 2021.
