Anthony Freeman earned a BSc in Mathematics from the University of Manchester in the United Kingdom (1979) and a PhD in Astrophysics (1982). He is now a Senior Technical Adviser at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory, where he has worked for 39 years. His work in Astrophysics and Earth and Planetary Science has resulted in over 300 publications, memberships—including elevation to Life Fellow of the IEEE—and awards, including the CBE from the United Kingdom for his efforts to facilitate collaboration between the US and the UK. His research interests include novel space mission architectures, CubeSats and SmallSats, and Synthetic Aperture Radar.
