Author Biographies

Areeb Ahmed received his M.Sc and Ph.D. degrees in Electronics and Communications from the University of Teesside, United Kingdom, in 2012 and Izmir Institute of Technology, Turkey, in 2018, respectively. His academic work pioneered the development of Random Communication Systems. He is currently associated with the SMASH MSCA Postdoctoral Research Associate at the University of Ljubljana, Faculty of Computer and Information Science, Slovenia. His main research areas are secure communication systems and cybersecurity, particularly using artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning. Specifically, he is developing unconventional noise-based communication systems for future 5G and 6G networks to enhance the security of biomedical, spatial, molecular, and wireless communication systems. Dr. Areeb Ahmed has published in high-impact-factor journals and conferences, with his work recognized by the IEEE Turkey through the Best Research Paper Award in 2018. Dr. Ahmed’s research interests include 5G security, AI for cybersecurity, terahertz communication, and high-performance computing applications in secure communication.
