Author Biographies

Duc Huy NGUYEN received the engineering degree from ENSEEIHT, Institute National Polytechnique, Toulouse (INPT), France, in 2024. He is currently working toward the PhD degree at the CEA within the Department of Solar Technologies and the University of Grenoble Alpes since 2025. His research interests include power converter design, grid-connected conversion system, multilevel converter for high power application, Silicon Carbide (SiC) semiconductor devices and solid-state transformer (SST).
Jérémy MARTIN worked as an R&D engineer at ALSTOM Transport for four years. Since 2010, he has been part of the CEA within the Department of Solar Technologies, where he is responsible for strategic development in power converter activities.His expertise includes the design and development of medium  and high power converter topologies for railway traction systems and photovoltaic power plants. He also focuses on isolated and non isolated converter architectures for PV systems connected to medium voltage grids. His current work involves the characterization and integration of Silicon Carbide (SiC) semiconductor devices into advanced converter prototypes for next generation solar applications.
Arnaud Gaillard received the M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in Electrical Engineering from the University of Lorraine, France, in 2006 and 2010, respectively. From 2010 to 2011, he worked as a research engineer in industry, specializing in magnetic circuits for power electronics in transportation applications. Since September 2011, he has been an Associate Professor at the University of Technology of Belfort-Montbéliard (UTBM), France. He is currently a researcher at the FEMTO-ST Institute, CNRS, France. His research interests include the modelling, design, control, and dependability of Si-, SiC-, and GaN-based power converters for fuel-cell systems, hybrid energy systems, and future electrical architectures dedicated to stationary, transportation, and embedded applications. His work particularly addresses the interactions between dynamic performance, electromagnetic compatibility, thermal constraints, and reliability in both healthy and faulty operating modes.
Prof. Quoc Tuan TRAN received his Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering and the Habilitation à Diriger des Recherches (Dr. Habil.) from Grenoble Institute of Technology (Grenoble-INP), France, in 1993 and 2000, respectively. He is currently a Professor at INSTN (Université Paris-Saclay), Director of Research and Fellow at CEA (French Alternative Energies and Atomic Energy Commission), and a Lecturer at INSTN, Grenoble-INP, UGA, ENPC, and ENSTA. His research interests include smart grids, microgrids, power system analysis, operation and protection, electromagnetic transients, real-time and co-simulation, renewable energy, electric vehicles, energy storage, power electronics, smart buildings, and energy management and control. He has led and coordinated more than 50 projects, including European, industrial, ADEME, and ANR projects. He has authored or co-authored more than 300 publications in journals and conference proceedings and has supervised 50 Ph.D. theses. He is a Senior Member of IEEE and a member of CIGRE.
