Author Biographies

Aschalew Nega Teferi is a Chemist with a specialization in Analytical chemistry, working at Debark University. He received his bachelor’s degree in chemistry from Debre Markos University and his master’s degree in chemistry (Analytical Chemistry) from Ambo University in 2016 and in 2018, respectively. During his M.Sc. studies, he focused his research on the physicochemical analysis and determination of the levels of some heavy metals in honey samples collected from three district areas of the east Gojjam zone of the Amhara region, Ethiopia. After finishing a post-graduate program at Ambo University in July 2018, he joined Dambi Dollo University in the Department of Chemistry as an analytical chemistry lecturer and served for six months. When he was there, he continued his research activities and was mainly concerned with the analysis of heavy metals with ICP-OES, AAS, and AFS from different samples. He is now serving as an analytical chemistry lecturer and researcher at Debark University. For last 7 years he has been a passionate analytical chemistry lecturer teaching and researching at Dambi Dollo and Debark universities. He is a doctoral candidate at the School of Material Science and Engineering, Beihang University. His current doctoral work focuses on “Integrated Water Quality Assessment and Pollution Control Approaches for Emerging Contaminants in the River water”.
Yibrehu Bogale Dibabe is as a chemist with a specialization in analytical chemistry working at Haramaya University. He received his bachelors degree in chemistry from Wollo University and his masters degree in chemistry (analytical chemistry) from Haramaya University in 2015 and 2018, respectively. During his M.Sc studies, he focused his research on the synthesis, characterization and application of nanocomposite materials for phosphate desorption studies of acidic soil as a new analytical method of phosphate analysis. After finishing a post-graduate program at Haramaya University, Ethiopia, in July 2018, he joined Dambi Dollo University's department of chemistry as an analytical chemistry lecturer and served for one year. When he was there, he continued his research activities and was mainly concerned with the analysis of heavy metals with ICP-OES from different samples. He is now serving as an analytical chemistry lecturer and researcher at Haramaya University and is interested in research on “proteomics and synthesizing and characterizing nanomaterials for different applications like biosensors, batteries and advanced technological applications”.
