Juergen Meyer is a Professor in the Department of Radiation Oncology at the University of Washington and Clinical Physics Lead and Joint Professor in the Radiation Oncology Division at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center. Previously, he was Director of Medical Physics at the University of Canterbury, where he now holds an Adjunct Professorship in the School of Physical and Chemical Sciences. Dr. Meyer has supervised and mentored approximately 40 graduate students and 25 residents, reflecting his deep commitment to academic development and clinical training. He is an Associate Editor of Physica Medica (European Journal of Medical Physics) and serves on the editorial board of Physical and Engineering Sciences in Medicine (PESM), the official journal of the Australasian College of Physical Scientists and Engineers in Medicine (ACPSEM). He is a member of AAPM, IPEM, DGMP, and ACPSEM, and contributes to AAPM Task Group 440 focused on spatially fractionated radiation therapy (SFRT). His current research interests include Digital Holographic Interferometry (DHI) for radiation calorimetry, surface-guided radiation therapy (SGRT), Monte Carlo modeling of physical and biological dose, AI-based auto-contouring, and image-guided radiation therapy (IGRT).
