Aleix Galan Figueras received a B.Sc. degree in computer engineering and a B.Sc. degree in telecommunication systems engineering from the Universitat Autonoma de Barcelona (UAB), Bellaterra, Spain, in 2020, and a M.Sc. degree in cybersecurity from the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya, Barcelona, Spain, in 2022. He is currently working toward a Ph.D. degree in global navigation satellite system (GNSS) security and resilience with the WaveCoRE Research Group, Department of Electrical Engineering, KU Leuven, Leuven, Belgium. During his studies, he participated in an Erasmus exchange with KU Leuven and Septentrio NV, Leuven, where he conducted his master’s thesis. During his master’s studies, he worked on a European Commission funded project with UAB to develop an open-source library for the Galileo open service Galileo message authentication protocol. Then, he worked for 2 years in the industry at Septentrio NV on the topics of GNSS spoofing detection and software-defined radio devices. Mr. Galan Figueras received a Ph.D. Fellowship from the Research Foundation Flanders in 2023.
