Dr. Amita Kapoor joined Assay Services in September 2011 and became Unit Head in 2019. She completed her bachelor’s degree in Biology and Psychology at the University of Toronto in 2002 and received her Ph.D. in Physiology from the same university in 2008. After a short postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Toronto, she continued her postdoctoral training at the Harlow Primate Laboratory at the University of Wisconsin-Madison beginning in 2009. Her research focuses on understanding how hormone exposure during pregnancy influences hormonal patterns and behaviors in the postnatal period, with a particular emphasis on non-invasive approaches to studying these relationships.
