Antonio Stecco, MD, is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Rehabilitation Medicine at NYU Grossman School of Medicine, based at Rusk Rehabilitation. He earned his Degree in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Padua, Italy, where he also completed a specialization in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. His professional and research expertise is concentrated in musculoskeletal rehabilitation, fascial anatomy and physiology, and diagnostic ultrasonography. He is the President of the Fascial Manipulation Association.
Carla Stecco is an Orthopedic Surgeon and Professor of Human Anatomy and Movement Sciences at the University of Padova. She is the Founder Member of the Fascial Manipulation Association and of the Fascial Research Society, a Member of the Italian Society of Anatomy and Histology, of the Association Franaise des Morphologistes and of ISMuLT. Her scientific activity is devoted to the study of the anatomy of the human fasciae from a macroscopical, histological and physiopathological point of view. She personally made over 100 cadaver dissections for research. She teaches theoretical-practical courses about the Fascial Manipulation technique internationally. Dr. Stecco is the author of more than 100 in extenso papers about the fascial anatomy, 80 indexed in Pubmed, two books about Fascial Manipulation and chapters on fascial anatomy and Fascial Manipulation Technique. She is the author of the “Functional atlas of human fasciae”.
