Dimitrios A. Dragatogiannis is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Naval Architecture at the University of West Attica, Greece. He holds a Diploma in Applied Mathematics and Physical Sciences, an MSc in Materials Science and Engineering, and a PhD in Mechanics of Advanced Materials, all from the National Technical University of Athens. His research focuses on mechanics of materials, experimental mechanics, structural design and optimization, and the reliability of marine structures, with applications to advanced composites, novel welding technologies, and multiphysics simulations. He has coordinated 14 and contributed to more than 30 funded research and industrial projects. He has authored over 40 journal papers, more than 60 conference contributions, 3 book chapters, and 1 patent (h-index 19, >1,300 citations, Google Scholar). He teaches undergraduate and graduate courses in Mechanics and finite element method applications in naval architecture and marine technology.
