Zongzhi Wang is a Professor-level Senior Engineer and
Doctoral Supervisor at the State Key Laboratory of Hydrology-Water Resources
and Hydraulic Engineering, Nanjing Hydraulic Research Institute, Nanjing, China.
He is the Deputy Director of the Institute of Hydrology and Water Resources, the
Executive Deputy Director of the Key Laboratory of Flood and Drought Disaster
Prevention of the Ministry of Water Resources, and the Executive Deputy
Secretary-General of the China National Committee for the UNESCO International
Hydrological Programme (UNESCO-IHP). He is also an Adjunct Professor and Doctoral
Supervisor at Hohai University. He received his Ph.D. from Nanjing Hydraulic
Research Institute in 2008. He is mainly engaged in scientific research in the
areas of flood and drought prevention and control, water resources planning and
management, and safe utilization of rainwater and flood resources.
