Dr. Blerina Shkodra is Head of Particle Science & Formulation Services at Leon-nanodrugs GmbH in Munich, Germany. She is an expert in drug delivery and nanomedicine, with deep experience in the design, development, and characterization of nanoparticle-based pharmaceutical products. Blerina manages R&D programs focused on RNA-enabled therapies, advanced drug delivery platforms, and innovative formulation strategies for pharmaceutical actives. She earned her Ph.D. in Drug Delivery from the University of Jena, where she specialized in nanoparticle development and analytical characterization. Prior to joining Leon-nanodrugs, she contributed to mRNA-LNP process development and technology transfer at CureVac AG. Her work integrates formulation science, process development, and translational development to advance next-generation therapeutic modalities.
Ashish Muglikar is a
nanomedicine researcher with expertise in lipid nanoparticles (LNPs),
parenteral drug delivery, and sterile injectable formulations. He holds an
M.Pharm in Pharmaceutics and an MSc in Advanced Drug Delivery from the
University of Strathclyde, UK. His previous research at CMAC/Strathclyde
focused on nanomedicine and nucleic-acid delivery. He currently works in
industry as a Research Associate in Early-Stage Formulation Process Development
at BioNTech SE. His skills include LNP development, nucleic-acid delivery
systems, and formulation work for injectable products.
