Dr. Komal Handore is Assistant Professor at the School of Architecture and Planning, NICMAR University, Pune. She completed her PhD studies in urban planning at IIT Roorkee. She is currently working as a co-project investigator on the Heat Action Plan and Environment Status Report Project from Panvel Municipal Corporation. Her teaching disciplines include GIS and remote sensing, urban and rural planning (sustainable developmentâmicro-level planning), and tools and techniques of spatial analysis, regional development and planning, urban geography, infrastructure planning, transportation planning, urban design, real estate development, system dynamics (modeling, forecasting, simulation), and policy design and development.
