Lidia Gartcheva is a highly experienced clinical immunologist based in Bulgaria. She earned her Master's degree in Medicine from Medical University, Sofia in 1985, followed by specialized training in Immunology and Transfusiology at University Hospital "Queen Johanna" - Sofia (1990-1992). She completed her PhD at the National Specialized Hospital for Active Treatment of Hematologic Diseases between 2017 and 2020. Since 2005, Dr. Gartcheva has served as the Head of the Immunochemistry Laboratory (Clinical Immunology Laboratory) at the National Specialized Hospital for Active Treatment of Hematological Diseases in Sofia, where she has built her expertise in multiple myeloma, amyloidosis, free light chains (FLC), and heavy/light chain (HLC) analysis. Her longstanding leadership role and specialized research focus demonstrate her significant contributions to hematological immunology in Bulgaria.
