Author Biographies

Sandra Emanuel Barros Coelho received her licentiate degree in Radiology from ESTSP in 2003 and obtained her M.Sc. in Management of Organisations - Healthcare Units from APNOR in 2012. In March 2023, she completed a postgraduate program in Clinical Research in Health Services at ESTSC. She is currently pursuing a PhD in Occupational Health and Safety at the Faculty of Engineering, University of Porto (FEUP-UP). She has worked as a Radiology Technician since 2002, initially at Hospital Nossa Senhora da Oliveira - Guimarães (August 2002 - September 2002), followed by Hospital da Luz - Clinica do Porto (2002 - August 2021). Since August 2021, she has been working at ULS Médio Ave - Famalião in the same role. Her research topics primarily include occupational health and safety, radiology, computed tomography (CT), artificial intelligence applications in healthcare, and risk management in medical imaging environments. https://orcid.org/0009-0009-0343-2937

Marco Cesar Correia Freitas received his BS in Radiology from ESTSP in 2003 and later earned a licentiate degree in Radiology from ESTSP in 2005. He is now a Professor at Instituto Politécnico do Porto, where he has taught since 2008, with an eight-year hiatus from 2016 to 2023, returning in the 2023/2024 academic year. He has worked as a Radiology Technician continuously since 2003 in private hospitals. His work in medical imaging and radiology methodology has resulted in multiple scientific outputs, including conference publications such as "Protocols for Head and Neck studies" (2017), "Methodological Studies - Physical Criteria and Clinical Applications" (2010), and "Typification of Radiological Projections" (2009). His research interests include radiology practice, imaging protocols, computed tomography (CT), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), clinical methodology, and imaging education.
