Dr. Gameel Saleh is an associate professor in the Department of Biomedical Engineering at Imam Abdulrahman bin Faisal University (IAU). He received his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Duisburg-Essen University, Germany, in December 2013. He holds an M.Sc. in Electronics and Communications from Jordan University of Science and Technology (JUST, 2008) and a B.Sc. in Electronics and Communications from Aden University (2001). From 2014 to 2015, Dr. Saleh served as an assistant professor in the Electronics and Communication Engineering Department at Aden University. In August 2015, he joined Imam Abdulrahman bin Faisal University in Dammam, Saudi Arabia, where he currently serves as an associate professor in biomedical engineering. His research interests include MRI switches and antennas, biosensing and wearables, metamaterials, and medical imaging phantoms. He currently has 16 granted and filed patents with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO). Dr. Saleh has received much recognition and many research grants and awards for excellence in teaching, research, and innovation. He was also a recipient of the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) fellowships in 2006 and 2009 to finish his M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees, respectively.
