Author Biographies

Dr. Zacharias Papadakis, Ph.D., FACSM, ACSM EP, ACSM-ACS CES, is Associate Professor of Exercise Physiology & Wellness in the Department of Health Sciences and Clinical Practice, College of Health Professions and Medical Sciences, at Barry University. He completed his Ph.D. in Kinesiology, Exercise Science, Nutrition, and Health Promotion at Baylor University. His research focuses on how continuous moderate-intensity exercise; high-intensity interval exercise; and psychological, nutritional, and pharmaceutical stimuli influence cardiometabolic health through the lens of the Network Physiology of Exercise and Lifestyle Medicine. Dr. Papadakis is a Fellow of the American College of Sports Medicine and has received multiple honors, including Barry University’s Outstanding Faculty Member Award and the Sr. Jeanne O’Laughlin Scholar’s Award. He has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications spanning exercise physiology, cardiovascular–kidney–metabolic health, occupational and tactical readiness, and positive sport psychology. His teaching portfolio includes advanced exercise physiology, clinical exercise testing and prescription, laboratory methods, and applied statistics, and he actively mentors undergraduate and graduate students in human performance and wellness.
