Author Biographies

Evangelos Pompodakis received his Diploma degree from the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece in 2011, his master’s degree from the Technical University of Kaiserslautern, Germany in 2015, and his Ph.D. degree from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki in 2021. From 2015 to 2017, he worked in several positions in the Energy Sector, Greece. He is currently a Postdoctoral Researcher with Hellenic Mediterranean University, Greece. His research interests include power flow analysis, distributed generation and storage, power converters, and smart grid operation and control.
Prof. Emmanuel Karapidakis is the dean of the School of Engineering and the director of the Energy, Environment, and Climate Change Institute, Hellenic Mediterranean University, Greece. He is the scientific coordinator of many European, nationally funded projects and several privately funded projects. He is a member of IEEE and a member of the North-Eastern Europe Energy Institute (ΙΕΝΕ). His research interests include energy policy, power systems operation, diverse and dispersed generation, micro-grids, renewable energy sources, and energy trading.
