Panpan Zhang earned his bachelor’s degree from the School of Petroleum Engineering at the China University of Petroleum (East China) in 2017 and his PhD from the School of Petroleum Engineering at China University of Petroleum (Beijing) in 2023. From 2021 to 2022, he served as a joint PhD student at the Faculty of Civil and Environmental Engineering, University of Alberta. Currently, he is a lecturer at the Karamay Campus of China University of Petroleum (Beijing). His primary research focuses on drilling engineering, reservoir numerical simulation, and reservoir enhancement. Panpan Zhang has published over 10 papers as first or corresponding author, including four articles in Q1 journals of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and two SCI cover articles. His doctoral dissertation was selected by the Academic Degrees Office of the Ministry of Education as being among the top 3% of dissertations in its discipline evaluation. As principal investigator, he currently leads five ongoing provincial/ministerial-level and university-level, as well as12 national or provincial-level projects.
