Dr. Ahmed Shaban is an Associate Professor of Industrial Engineering in the Department of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering at Sultan Qaboos University (SQU), Oman. He earned his B.Sc. (Hons.) in Industrial Engineering from Fayoum University (2006), M.Sc. from Cairo University (2010), and Ph.D. from Sapienza University of Rome, Italy
(2014). His research and teaching interests span Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, Supply Chain Management, Quality Control, Simulation, Modeling, Optimization, and Sustainable Energy Systems. Dr. Shaban has led and
contributed to several nationally and internationally funded research projects and has published extensively in high-impact, peer-reviewed journals. He serves as a reviewer for numerous international journals and holds editorial positions, including Associate Editor and Editorial Board Member for reputable journals in his field. Beyond research, he actively supervises postgraduate students, develops curricula, and contributes to academic and accreditation committees. Dr. Shaban’s achievements have been recognized with multiple distinctions, including the Fayoum University Award for Excellence in Scientific Research and
several honors for outstanding international publications. His scholarly work and professional service continue to advance the fields of industrial systems, optimization, and sustainable engineering.
