Prof. Dr. Ionut Luchian is a Full Professor and Consultant in Periodontology, being part of the academic staff of the Faculty of Dental Medicine, Grigore T. Popa University of Medicine and Pharmacy Iasi-Romania. At the same time, he holds an MSc and PhD in Dental Medicine. He has published extensively in peer-reviewed international journals and also served as a guest editor or reviewer for international journals. Previously, he was elected President of the International Association of Dental Students and Scientific Director for Young Dentists Worldwide. Since 2020, he has been Vice Dean of the faculty in which he teaches, and since 2023 he has been the Vice President of the National Commission for Periodontology in the Romanian Ministry of Health.
Dr. Irina-Georgeta Sufaru is an Associate
Professor of Periodontology at “Grigore T. Popa” University of Medicine and
Pharmacy, Iasi, Romania. She is also a Senior Periodontal specialist and an
Editor and peer-reviewer for SCIE and ESCI journals. Her research activity
focuses on the molecular aspects of periodontal disease, etiopathogenesis,
periodontal medicine, and adjunctive methods of periodontal treatment.
