Prof. Dr. Wilfried Zörner studied Mechanical
Engineering at the Technical University of Munich (Germany) and the University
of Bath (UK). He received his Ph.D. degree from the Technical University of
Munich (Germany). He has been a professor of design and development at
Technische Hochschule Ingolstadt since 1998. He now concentrates his teaching
on renewable energy technologies, especially bio-energy and solar energy. As
head of the Institute of New Energy Systems (InES), he is responsible for
applied research in the fields of bio-energy technology, solar energy
technology and energy systems technology. He is a member of numerous national
and international organizations.
