Kyung Sung Kim is a distinguished academic and researcher in the field of naval architecture and ocean engineering. He earned his B.S. and M.S. in Naval Architecture and Ocean Engineering from Pusan National University, followed by a Ph.D. in Ocean Engineering from Texas A&M University. His professional career began as a Post Doctorate Associate Researcher in Civil Engineering at Texas A&M University (2014-2015), after which he served as a research professor at Pohang University of Science and Technology's Graduate School of Engineering (2015-2016). He moved to Tongmyong University as a Professor in the Department of Naval Architecture & Ocean Engineering at Tongmyong University in Busan, Korea(2016-2021). Since 2021, he has been a Professor in the Department of Mechatronics Convergence Engineering at Changwon National University in Changwon, Korea. His research expertise focuses on computational fluid dynamics, fluid-solid coupling, and particle simulation methods, demonstrating his specialized knowledge in advanced numerical modeling and simulation techniques for marine engineering applications.
