Gaetano Carmelo La Delfa received his Ph.D. degree in computer and telecommunications engineering from the University of Catania, Italy, in 2016, where he also earned a master’s degree in methodologies and technologies for mobile systems development in 2012 and a five-year degree in electronic engineering in 2005. He worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher and an Assistant Professor (RTDA) at the University of Catania (2020–2024). In 2024, he joined the University of Salamanca, Spain, as a Marie Skłodowska-Curie European Postdoctoral Fellow within the BISITE Research Group. His research interests include indoor localization, Internet of Things, machine learning, and optimization algorithms for last-mile delivery and smart city applications.
