My name is Ghezal Mounir, and I am a doctoral student in rural economics at the National Superior Agronomic School (ENSA) of Kasdi Merbah, Algiers. My research mainly focuses on the development policy of the dairy sector in Algeria, with a particular interest in sustainable agro-economic and environmental aspects. I hold a magister degree in rural economics from the same school, where I specialized in agricultural and rural economics. I joined the Laboratory of Agricultural, Agro-food, Rural Economics and Environment, where I am working on my thesis under the supervision of Mrs. Bahia Bouchafaa Hammadou. My research aims to better understand the challenges of dairy cattle farming in Algeria, especially in the Algiers region, which has a strong tradition of intensive farming and faces significant environmental impacts.
