Mehmet Karahan is an Assistant Professor at the
Electrical and Electronics Engineering Department, TOBB University of Economics
and Technology, Ankara, Turkey. He completed his PhD studies in Electrical and
Electronics Engineering Department at the TOBB University of Economics and
Technology. He has been awarded with the National PhD Scholarship Award by the
Scientific and Technological Research Council of Türkiye. During his
master's and doctoral theses, he worked on robust controller design for
quadrotor unmanned aerial vehicles. He has published in 35 papers in various
journals and IEEE conferences. The majority of his work focuses on quadrotor
UAVs. He is a member of the IEEE Aerospace and Electronic Systems Society, the
IEEE Control Systems Society, and the IEEE Systems Council. He serves
as a reviewer for 12 SCI-indexed journals, including MDPI journals. He teaches
courses in Control Systems, Senior Design Projects, Nonlinear Systems, Computational
Control with MATLAB, Digital Design, and Introduction to Electrical
Engineering. His research interests include quadrotor unmanned aerial vehicles,
robotics, nonlinear control, dynamical modeling, robust control and adaptive
control.
