Giuseppe Comi, born on 22 February 1954, in Monza, Italy, is a Full Professor at the University of Udine. He holds a degree in Biological Sciences and began his research career as a Fellow at the Institute for Inspection of Foods of Animal Origin at the University of Milan's Veterinary Faculty. Currently affiliated with the Department of Agricultural, Food, Environmental, and Animal Science at the University of Udine, he teaches subjects such as Food Microbiology, Hygiene, Microbiology, Immunology, and Wine Microbiology. Scientific activities include work on meat, meat products, fish products, vegetable, and other foods and their chemical, biological and microbiological preservation. He studies public health issues and in particular microorganisms and opportunistic pathogens.
