Dr. Darren Ghent is a NCEO Leader and Research Fellow for Land Surface Temperature at the National Centre for Earth Observation (NCEO), University of Leicester, UK. He holds an MSc in Natural Resource Management and a PhD focused on Land-surface modelling and Earth Observation of climate interactions from the University of Leicester in 2004 and 2010, respectively. Dr. Ghent’s research interests primarily include thermal remote sensing and land-atmosphere interactions. He also works on land surface temperature retrievals, validation, and exploitation, including for climate science and heat-related resilience.
