Dr. Alline C. Campos is a neuroscientist and pharmacologist whose research bridges
neuropsychopharmacology, neurodevelopment, and neuroplasticity. She earned her
B.Pharm, M.Sc., and Ph.D. in Pharmacology/Psychopharmacology in Brazil,
followed by postdoctoral training at Max Planck Institute. A 2015
L’Oréal-UNESCO For Women in Science fellow, she currently leads the
Pharmacology of Neuroplasticity Lab and the preclinical arm of Cannabinoid
Research Center at the Ribeirão Preto Medical School- University of São Paulo.
Her research focuses on identifying neuroplasticity mechanisms underlying
psychiatric and neurodevelopmental disorders and converting them into druggable
targets. Dr. Campos has contributed significantly to understanding how
cannabinoids—particularly cannabidiol—modulate neuroplastic events, oxidative
stress, and neuroinflammation.
