Author Biographies

José Roberto Rozante is a Brazilian meteorologist and senior technologist at the National Institute for Space Research (INPE), where he works at the Center for Weather Forecasting and Climate Studies (CPTEC). He earned his Ph.D. (2008) and M.Sc. (2001) in Meteorology from INPE and his B.Sc. in Meteorology from the University of São Paulo (1995). His research expertise includes numerical weather prediction, satellite-based precipitation estimation, atmospheric chemistry, and operational model implementation. With over twenty-five years of professional experience, Dr. Rozante has coordinated and participated in major national and international research initiatives related to hydrometeorological monitoring, climate variability, and environmental modeling. He received awards for best scientific work at international and national meteorology conferences, including recognition at the International LBA, GEOMA & PPBio Scientific Conference. Author of numerous peer-reviewed articles and co-editor of the Atlas of Temperature and Precipitation Projections for the State of São Paulo, he continues to contribute to advances in geosciences and applied meteorology in Brazil.
