Prof. Dr. Zhanyong Wei currently works as a Professor and Doctoral Supervisor at the College of Veterinary Medicine, Henan Agricultural University, China. He currently serves as the Director of the Office of the National Joint Research Center for Animal Immunology, Deputy Director of the Henan Provincial Key Laboratory of Animal Food Safety, and Director of the Henan Provincial Collaborative Innovation Office of Modern Animal Husbandry. He obtained a Bachelor's of Science from Henan Agricultural University, a Master's of Preventive Veterinary Medicine from Inner Mongolia Agricultural University and a Doctorate of Clinical Veterinary Medicine from Nanjing Agricultural University. He has been a Visiting Scholar at the Ohio State University, USA, and conducted a Postdoctoral Fellowship at the Free University of Berlin. His research areas are animal molecular virology and immunology, focusing on the development and application of diagnostic and detection technologies for porcine diseases, the pathogenic mechanisms of porcine enteric coronavirus and porcine parvovirus, and the development of new animal vaccine adjuvants.
