Miss Lily Donnelly is a PhD candidate in the Molecular Ecology and Evolutionary Laboratory, with the College of Science and Engineering, James Cook University. She holds a Master of Science from James Cook University and a Bachelor of Animal and Veterinary Bioscience (Honours) from the University of Sydney. She is also the Coordinator of the Magnetic Island Network for Turtles (MINT), a sea turtle conservation, research, and rehabilitation organization and a research assistant with Wildlife Health Australia, a national avian influenza surveillance project. Her research focuses on threatened species conservation, with a particular interest in conservation genetics and virology. She is a co-author on one peer-reviewed publication and is currently involved in several collaborative research projects.
