Dr. Xiaohan Ren is a member of the Combustion Institute and the ASME and an Assistant Professor at Shandong University, and he was a visiting scholar with Prof. Levendis at Northeastern University (in the United States) for two years. His studies have focused on the utilization of biomass resources, proposing a new idea for the cascade utilization of biomass to combine gas, heat, carbon, and fertilizer with biomass pyrolysis. Additionally, he has focused on microgravity combustion, jet flame, porous carbon materials, and emissions.
