Alfredo Bautista is a Professor in the Department of Early Childhood
Education (ECE) at The Education University of Hong Kong (EdUHK), where
he also serves as Associate Head for Internationalization. Born and
raised in Spain, he holds a Degree in Psychology
and a PhD in Psychology (with European Distinction) from Universidad
Autónoma de Madrid, complemented by advanced degrees in Piano
Performance and Music Theory from Real Conservatorio Superior de Música
de Madrid. His academic career includes postdoctoral
positions at the University of Victoria and Tufts University, followed
by roles as Research Scientist and Assistant Dean at the National
Institute of Education, Singapore. His research focuses on curriculum,
pedagogy, and teacher professional development,
with additional leadership contributions as Editor-in-Chief of the
Journal for the Study of Education and Development and editorial roles
in other international journals.
