Pedro de Oliva Neto received his Bachelor's degree in Biological Science from São Paulo State University. He graduated from Universidade Estadual de Campinas with a Master's degree in Food Science and Doctorate in Food Engineering. He is currently a Professor in the graduation (Biotechnology Engineering and Biological Science at São Paulo State University - UNESP) and post-graduation (Applied Microbiology - UNESP and Ph.D. Program in Bioenergy (USP-UNICAMP-UNESP) courses. He is also the Coordinator of Graduation Courses and Chief of Department at UNESP. He is a member of the Executive Board of IPBEN (UNESP Institute of Bioenergy). He has published many scientific papers and books at international institutions on bioprocess development acting on enzyme and cell immobilization, biofuels (ethanol), and food ingredient production (special sugars, biopolymers, and yeast derivatives).
