Dr. Brendon P. McDermott is a Professor at the University of Arkansas, where he teaches primarily in the Master's of Athletic Training program and directs the Heat and Hydration Optimization (H2O) Lab. He has been teaching athletic training and exercise science courses for more than 20 years. He received his B.S. in Athletic Training from Northeastern University in 2000, his M.S. in Kinesiology from Indiana University in 2001, and his Ph.D. in Exercise Science from the University of Connecticut in 2009. He serves as a member of the Medical and Science Advisory Board of the Korey Stringer Institute and is a Research Fellow of the American College of Sports Medicine. His research interests include environmental physiology, fluid balance, and exercise performance.
