Zacharenia Kyrana is a PhD candidate in Statistics and Data Analysis at the School of Agriculture, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. She holds an undergraduate degree in Statistics and Actuarial-Financial Mathematics and a postgraduate degree in Statistics and Data Analysis, from the School of Sciences, University of the Aegean. Her research interests include biometry, multivariate and multidimensional statistical-data analysis methods, and dimensionality reduction and clustering methods in data cubes and big data using various statistical software packages. She is the author of several scientific publications in international peer-reviewed journals, as well as in international and national conference proceedings.
Emmanouil D. Pratsinakis is an PhD candidate at the School of Agriculture, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTh). Graduated from the School of Agriculture of AUTh with Postgraduate studies in the School of Agriculture of AUTh. His current research interests focused on Multivariate Data Analysis of mixed type data. In addition, his research utilises statistical and bioinformatics tools. He has published 15 publications in scientific journals and conference proceedings with full articles.
Angelos Markos is Professor of Data Analysis in the Social Sciences at the School of Education, Democritus University of Thrace. He completed his PhD studies in Applied Informatics at the University of Macedonia in 2007, and has been a Visiting Scholar at the Department of Statistics, Stanford University in 2017. He has published numerous papers in various journals, and serves as a board member for the Greek Society of Data Analysis (GSDA), as well as an additional member of the International Federation of Classification Societies (IFCS) Council. His teaching disciplines include data analysis and statistics in the social sciences, and his interests include multivariate analysis (especially dimension reduction and clustering), psychological testing and measurement.
He is a Professor
of "Biometry and Agricultural Experimentation", at the School of
Agriculture, Faculty of Agriculture, Forestry and Natural Environment of Aristotle
University of Thessaloniki (AUTh), Greece. He is a Mathematician (graduated from AUTh) with
Postgraduate Studies at the University of Surrey, United Kingdom, specializing
in "Mathematics Education". His Master thesis was entitled “An
Investigation into Theories of the Development of Concepts of Probability”.
He received his Doctoral degree from the University of Macedonia, Greece, Department
of Applied Informatics; His Doctoral thesis was entitled "Experimental Designs in Data Analysis".
His
research interests are the development and the application of statistical
methods and data analysis methods on data resulted from experiments in the
field of Biological Sciences, the methodology of scientific research, methods
of multidimensional analysis of quantitative and categorical data, the methods
of multivariate statistical analysis and the development of statistical software
/ code. He has more than 260 publications in scientific journals and conference
proceedings with full articles and has participated in over 47 Research
Programs. He has announced and/or presented more than 245 papers at National
and International Conferences. Finally, he has extensive experience in adult
education (over 30 years) and is a certified adult educator.
