Karina Donald, PhD, is an assistant professor of art therapy at Florida State University. Her research focuses on art-based and art therapy interventions among underserved families and communities, with particular attention to culturally sensitive mental health approaches. Her current work explores how art and family therapists can utilize culturally relevant resources to support highly stressed families and communities in the Caribbean.
