Assoc. prof. Algirdas Augonis received his doctor's degree from the Kaunas University of Technology at the Faculty of Civil Engineering and Architecture (KTU SAF) in 2009. He works as an assoc. prof. at KTU SAF (2015 – to the present). He worked as a specialist at the KTU Building Materials and Structures Research Centre (KTU SMKTC) (2015 – 2023). From 2023 to the present, he is the director of the KTU SMKTC. His research topics mainly include concrete, carbonization, CO2, self-healing concrete, recycling, artificial aggregates, and biocomposites.
