Antonio Tursi is a Medical Director at ASL BAT. He is also an Adjunct Professor of Territorial Gastroenterology at the Catholic University of Rome. He obtained a Degree in Medicine and Surgery in 1993 and a Specialization in Gastroenterology and Digestive Endoscopy in 1997. He has been a Medical Director in Gastroenterology since February 2004 and a Manager of the Territorial Gastroenterology Service of the ASL BAT since 2009. His research is in the areas of Celiac disease, diverticular disease of the colon, helicobacter pylori infection, and inflammatory bowel diseases.
Franco Scaldaferri received an MD and Ph.D. from Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore, Rome, Italy. He has been a Gastroenterologist at the GastroUnit of Fondazione Policlinico Universitario Agostino Gemelli/Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore since 2009, since 2022 head of the IBD unit at Fondazione Policlinico Gemelli. His main expertise and responsibilities include the outpatient clinic for inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), clinical trials, endoscopy, research activities, and translational research. He is also a member of several scientific societies dealing with IBD pathogenesis, IBD management, colonic cancer and cancer on chronic colitis, innate and adaptive immunity and IBD, colon cancer screening, intestinal microbiota composition, and modulation.

Prof. Edoardo Vincenzo Savarino received his medical and Ph.D. degrees from the University of Genoa, Genoa, Italy. He completed his residency training in internal medicine and gastroenterology at the Department of Internal Medicine, Azienda Ospedaliera-Universitaria San Martino of Genoa, Genoa, Italy. Presently, he is an associate professor of gastroenterology at the University of Padua, Padua, Italy. He is mainly interested in neurogastroenterology and immune-mediated diseases, including inflammatory bowel diseases and eosinophilic disorders of the gastrointestinal tract. He has published extensively (h-index 60; published papers n = 536) on gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), esophageal motility disorders, Barrett’s esophagus, chronic gastritis, functional GI disorders (functional dyspepsia and irritable bowel syndrome), eosinophilic esophagitis, and inflammatory bowel diseases. He has received various prizes for his work from the UEG Federation, the OESO foundation, the ISDE, and Società Italiana di Gastroenterologia ed Endoscopia. He is a reviewer for various journals, including The New England Journal of Medicine, The American Journal of Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine, Gastroenterology, Gut, Alimentary Pharmacology and Therapeutics, Clinical Gastroenterology and Hepatology, The American Journal of Gastroenterology, and Neurogastroenterology and Motility (NMO).

Rocco Spagnuolo received his Diploma in Gastroenterology and Digestive Endoscopy from “Magna Græcia” University of Catanzaro in 2011 and his Master’s degree in Medicine and Surgery from Sapienza University of Rome. He was a Ph.D. candidate in molecular oncology, experimental immunology, and development of innovative therapies at the Department of Experimental and Clinical Medicine, “Magna Græcia” University of Catanzaro from 2012 to 2016. He has been a research fellow of Medical and Surgical Sciences at “Magna Græcia” University of Catanzaro since 2015.
Prof. Francesco Luzza is a Full Professor of SSD MED/12 Gastroenterology, the Director at the Department of Science of Health, and a member of the Academic Senate, University of Catanzaro “Magna Graecia” (UMG). He obtained his Degree in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Bologna in 1980, with 110/110 cum laude. Then, he completed a Specialization in Gastroenterology and Digestive Endoscopy at the University of Bologna in 1984. Subsequently, he started his career as a Researcher (Biochemistry) at the University of Reggio Calabria (URC) (1988–1991), an Assistant and Help, UOC of Gastroenterology, A.O. “Mater Domini”, UMG (1993–2003), and a Full Professor, SSD MED/12 Gastroenterology, UMG (2013).
Antonietta Gerarda Gravina is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Precision Medicine, Division of Hepatogastroenterology, Faculty of Medicine, University of Campania Luigi Vanvitelli. She earned her MD and Ph.D. from the University of Campania Luigi Vanvitelli in 2005 and 2012, respectively. She is interested in GI research in radical species and nitric oxide in chronic liver and gastrointestinal diseases, food and nutrition in digestive pathology, nutraceuticals and GI diseases.

He is a National Secretary and Treasurer of AIGO, the Italian Association of Hospital Gastroenterologists and Endoscopists (AIGO). He is a Professor of Gastroenterology at the University of Cagliari, Cagliari, Italy. In his long career, he has acquired considerable experience in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases of the digestive system, in particular celiac disease with its complications, and chronic inflammatory intestinal diseases.
