Rohan D’Souza is a Maternal-Fetal
Medicine Physician and an Associate Professor in the Departments of Obstetrics
& Gynaecology and Health Research Methods, Evidence, and Impact at McMaster
University, Canada. Dr. D’Souza leads the Family-Oriented and service User
centred Research Supporting pregnancy Health (FLOURISH) group at McMaster
University and is a principal investigator on several collaborative initiatives
which include:
· The Canadian
Obstetric Survey System (CanOSS) - A nationwide effort to reduce severe adverse
pregnancy outcomes.
. The Canadian
Network of Networks to Reduce Cardiovascular Mortality and Morbidity in
Pregnancy (CaNCaM-Preg)
· A global
initiative to harmonize Outcome Reporting in Obstetric Studies and prioritize
patient-important outcomes in clinical decision-making and
· The
Confidence Project focused on enhancing vaccine confidence among pregnant and
postpartum individuals
Dr. D’Souza holds a Tier-2 Canada
Research Chair in Maternal Health and was recently awarded the CPP2025 award
for outstanding contribution to the field of pregnancy and heart disease.
