Author Biographies

Prof. Stefano Lazzari is an Associate Professor of Environmental Technical Physics at the University of Genoa, where he teaches technical physics and HVAC systems. He graduated with honors in electrical engineering, energy track, at the University of Bologna in 1996, and earned a Ph.D. in technical physics in 1999. His research activities span numerical, theoretical/analytical, and experimental approaches. His current work focuses on stability analysis of convective flows in porous media; energy analysis of the building stock in the Italian Liguria region and procedures and criteria for verifying energy performance certificates; energy efficiency in the lighting of buildings; innovative membrane heat exchangers for high-efficiency HVAC systems and electric and hybrid vehicles; performance evaluation of radiant panels produced through graphene film deposition; assessment of energy demand and energy retrofitting of buildings. He is the author of over 100 scientific publications and the inventor of five patents. He is a registered member of the Genoa Board of Engineers, with full professional qualification across all sectors.
