Prof. Bin Li, Associate Professor, serves as Party Branch Secretary and Deputy Director of the Institute of Communication Technology at the School of Electrical Engineering, and leads the "Dual-Leadership" Teacher Party Branch Studio at North China Electric Power University. He holds key roles in multiple international and national technical committees, including IEC SEG9, IEC PC118, IEEE P2805 (Edge Computing), and serves as Vice Chair of the IEEE PES Subcommittee on Blockchain Applications for Smart Grids, Executive Committee Member of the IEEE PES Big Data Subcommittee, and member of SAC/TC575 (National Power Demand-Side Management Standardization). He is also the Deputy Director in Beijing’s Changping District and Deputy General Manager of Inner Mongolia Power Group Digital Research Company. He serves on advisory committees for China Power Technology Market Association, China High-Tech Industrial Development Promotion Association, and State Grid’s Power Communication Network Technology Laboratory. He has got 12 provincial and corporate scientific progress awards, he has published more than 300 papers, applied more than 20 patents, and contributed to 16 smart grid standards (IEC/national/industry) and six monographs. He has led more than 40 major research projects, while mentoring award-winning competition teams and outstanding graduates.
