Dr Changbin Wang is a research assistant at the State
Key Laboratory for Fine Exploration and Intelligent Development of Coal Resources, China University of
Mining and Technology, Xuzhou (CUMT). He received his B.E. and M.Phil at CUMT
in 2010 and 2014, respectively. In 2017, he was awarded a scholarship by the China
Scholarship Council (CSC) to sponsor his PhD research under the supervision of
Professor Ismet Canbulat at the University of New South Wales, Sydney (UNSW). He
defended his thesis in 2021 with outstanding research outputs and continues his
work as a post-doc fellow at UNSW. In 2022, he moved from Australia to China to
take a faculty position at CUMT. Having studied and worked in the mining
industry for more than 10 years, he is determined to devote himself to exploring
fundamental knowledge of dynamic disasters in mines and providing
industry-oriented research solutions.
