Dr. Rocco Antonio Montone is a Consultant at the Department of Cardiovascular and Thoracic Sciences, Agostino Gemelli University Hospital. He completed his Research Fellowship in Kennedy Institute of Rheumatology—Atherosclerosis and Vascular Biology Laboratory at the Imperial College London in 2007, MD studies in Medicine and Surgery at the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart in 2008, Fellowship in Interventional Cardiology at Papworth Hospital NHS Foundation Trust in 2015, and PhD studies in Clinical Research at Institute of Cardiology, the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart—Rome Campus in 2020. He has published over 100 papers in peer-reviewed journals. His research interests include acute coronary syndromes, MINOCA, microcirculation, and microvascular obstruction.
Prof. Dr. Gaetano Antonio Lanza is an Associate Professor in Cardiovascular and Respiratory Medicine at Catholic University of the Sacred Heart—Rome Campus. He completed his MD studies in Medicine and Surgery (Cardiovascular and Thoracic Department) at the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart in 1988. He is also a Fellow of the European Society of Cardiology and an associate professor at the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore, Rome, Italy. His research interests include pathophysiology and ischemic heart disease, including coronary artery spasm, electrocardiography, cardiac autonomic function, arrhythmias, and endothelial function.
