Chao Tan (Senior Member, IEEE) received the B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. degrees in control science and engineering from Tianjin University, Tianjin, China, in 2003, 2006, and 2010, respectively. He is currently a Professor with the School of Electrical and Information Engineering, Tianjin University, where he is also the Director of Tianjin Key Laboratory of Process Measurement and Control and Tianjin International Joint Research and Development Center for Process Imaging and Measurement. His current research interests include process parameter detection and control systems, multiphase flow measurement and instrumentation, industrial process tomography, and multisensor/data fusion.
